Wild Toro

Wild Toro is one of ELK Studios' most popular games. It was awarded the prestigious Game of the Year award at the EGR Awards 2017 (but for the 2016 gaming year). It still holds up very well.

The game has nice graphics, good sound effects and lots of action. We follow the heroic and friendly bull named El Toro and his arch-rival: the sneaky matador Diaz Jr. Wild Toro takes place in the market square of a colorful Spanish town and offers several fun special features. Mainly an innovative take on walking wilds.

ELK has been very careful to emphasize that they do not in any way support bullfighting, and they are 100% on the side of the bull. The sand swirls and the air vibrate as the bull chases the matador in Wild Toro, so hold on to your hat, it is going to be a wild ride!

Wild Toro has 5 reels, 4 rows and 178 paylines which may seem lika an odd number. It utilises something called connecting payways which is a mix between fixed lines and ways. Basically; symbols need to touch adjacent reel’s symbols. See the game rules for a visualization.

You can make bets ranging from 0.20-100 USDT per spin and among the symbols are, in decreasing order of value, a rose, an orange with a dagger in it, the fan, a gold coin, a silver coin and finally a bronze coin.

The wild symbol in the game replaces all other symbols, except for the walking wild and the matador. The Walking Wild Symbol has El Toro as its motif and when this symbol lands on the screen, it moves from reel to reel (to the left, one reel at the time) and generates a re-spin for each step.

The main objective of the game is to land a Toro symbol and a Matador on the same spin. This will result in Toro chasing the Matador off the board and leaving wild symbols behind.

The Toro Goes Wild bonus feature is triggered when the bull and the matador appear on the reels at the same time. The bull goes wild and starts attacking all the matadors that are visible on the screen. He attacks first vertically and then horizontally, and leaves wild symbols on the positions he rushed over until he defeats all the matadors, which he always does!

Specifically, Toro starts by attacking the matadors on the same reel. He then looks to the right and attacks the matadors in his way before finishing by attacking to the left.

The bonus game ends when the bull reaches the first reel and has eliminated all matadors on the board. Only one Toro can be active at a time, although there can be more Toro symbols on a spin and even if there are matadors to attack, the additional bulls will act as Walking Wilds and trudge off the screen to the left. Hopefully not before another Matador makes an appearance and a new chase begins...

If you manage to land 3 Matador Symbols in one spin, 3 respins are activated. The matador symbol is sticky during these respins, which means that the matador symbols on the reels remain in their positions throughout the special feature.

If more matadors appear during your re-spins, you are rewarded with +1 additional respin per matador and the feature ends when no more matadors appear or when a Toro appears on the reels. If the bull appears and triggers the Wild Toro Bonus Game, you can expect to win big!
