Lightning Storm is very easy to get the hang of. The game follows a fairly straightforward process:

1. Place Your Bets: First, you’ll place your bets! You can place a bet on one wheel position or multiple.

2. Wheel Spin: Once the bets are placed, the host spins the wheel. During the spin, 20 sections of the wheel are assigned a Bonus Game icon, with a chance of also receiving a random multiplier up to x50.

3. Spin Outcome: If the wheel lands on a Leaf section, the round ends and those who have won receive their payout. If the wheel lands on one of the numbered sections, then the round proceeds with the respective Bonus Game.

4. Bonus Game: Each Bonus Game has a different gameplay and resolution, but whatever happens, this is the final part of the round. After the Bonus Game is completed, we go back to the top of the round, where players place their bets once more.

The betting in Lightning Storm reminded us of Roulette:

• Number: Just like a Straight Up Bet in Roulette, you can place a bet on any numbered spot on the wheel, hoping to land a good win in one of the Bonus Games.
• Leaf:For a higher chance of landing a win, but with much lower payout, you can bet on the Leaf symbol. With 19 Leaf spots, the chances of landing one of these are pretty good, but the fact remains that there aren’t any fancy Bonus Games or multipliers tied to the Leaf. What you see is what you get.
• All Odd/All Even: You can also place bets on All Odd numbers or All Even Numbers to maximize your chances of getting to participate in a Bonus Game. Each of these bet types covers 10 spots on the wheel.

There are also a couple of special bets in Lightning Storm:

• Storm Chaser: This bet automatically places a bet on each bet spot with a Lightning Storm bonus symbol.
• X Chaser: Place a bet on each bet spot that received a multiplier in the initial spin.

The Bonus Games can be observed by all the participants in the game, but only those who have placed a bet on them can participate in the game and win. Any additional multipliers received during the wheel spin are applied at the beginning of each Bonus Game round. Let’s break down the bonus games that make Lightning Storm so unique and enjoyable:

Hot Spot

The Hot Spot Bonus Game features a large wall of multipliers that are arranged by value - higher value multipliers are grouped together, forming “hot spots” of potentially very high winnings.

Then, the multipliers are hidden and shuffled. Players choose a tile, trying to predict where the highest multipliers have settled. In the next step, a 3x3 double area travels around the board, and where it lands the multipliers are doubled.

If you do predict the area with the highest multipliers and manage to land the 3x3 double area, you have a chance at achieving the highest multiplier of the game, which is x10,000.

Battery Charger

In this Bonus Game we have a large conveyor belt which holds 10 batteries, each with its own multiplier value. The goal here is to not overcharge the battery, otherwise it will explode.

The host activates the conveyor belt through a crank, and the batteries drop one by one into the battery charger. The small wheel at the bottom then spins. If it lands on green, then great! You win the multiplier assigned to the battery. If the wheel lands on red, then the load is too much and the battery blows up, leaving room for the next one to drop down from above.

There are also multipliers that can be applied to the rest of the batteries on the conveyor belt, potentially allowing you to hit the max multiplier of this round at x10,000.

Monster Mash

This is the most Frankenstein-esque part of the game! You find yourself in a lab where you are called upon to put together a monster. You have three horizontal reels - a head, torso and legs section. Each position on the reels has a body part with a different multiplier assigned to it.

There are Regular multipliers (1-50), whose values are added in the end to determine the total multiplier. There are also Global multipliers (x4-x6) whose values are multiplied by the outcome of the rest of the reels. The three body parts you land will decide the total multiplier. You may hit up to x10,000 in this round.

Fireball

This is one of the simpler games in Lightning Storm. Here, the host pushes a large red button that drops a large red ball on a field of 149 multipliers. Some multipliers are Regular, meaning that if the ball lands on one of them, then the payout is multiplied by that much.

Other multipliers are Double: whenever the ball lands on them, all Regular multipliers on the grid are doubled and the Ball is dropped again. The highest multiplier you can expect to hit here is x10,000 your bet.

Lightning Storm

The Lightning Storm is the highlight of the game - it even carries the same name! Here, both you and the host will head to the roof, where you can harness the storm to increase your multiplier. On the roof you will find a massive billboard with a grid of 8 Regular multipliers and 3 smaller tiles of Global multipliers.

There will be 3 separate Lightning Strikes. At the start of the game you choose which Lightning Strike’s future value you want to receive for your game round - i.e., you’re trying to predict which lightning bolt will get the highest multipliers!

When you choose, the lightning will strike from above and course through the sign, hitting multiple multipliers. Their cumulative value of the bolt you chose will determine your multiplier at the end of this round.

The Lightning Storm bonus is where you can hit the highest multiplier in the game at x20,000!
