Legacy of Dead was released on January 2, 2020. It came after Rise of Dead and before Doom of Dead. In comparison, it is one of the simplest in terms of mechanics. That is also its strength. It's all about getting to the free spins round with the help of the golden catacomb that also acts as a wild (like in most of the Dead games). It differs from the original Book of Dead in that we can activate additional expanding scatter paying symbols (all of them if lucky!).

The Wild Symbol in Legacy of Dead

In Legacy of Dead there is only one special symbol and it acts as both wild and is used as a scatter symbol to activate the free spins round. It also pays the highest of all symbols if combined with itself to create a line win.

The symbol is the golden sarcophagus/tomb with the beetle (scarab) on it. It should be familiar to you if you played the series before.

The Free Spins mode is triggered by three golden tombs, no matter where they appear on the screen. More than three do not give more spins, but you do bag an additional coin win; 20x the bet if you activate the bonus round with 4 scatters, and an extra 200x the bet if you land 5 bonus symbols.

Before the free spins start, one of the game's paying symbols is selected at random. It will then expand during all remaining free rounds (if it can create a win).
